Greetings and blessings,

I am surprised not to have received a single letter from you for several weeks now. Yet you have surely taken advantage of the vacation to organize the appropriate activities within the framework of the youth of the Chabad* association in general, and all the initiatives that can be taken on this occasion, in particular.

For the present, the purpose of this letter is to emphasize the imperative necessity of preparing a detailed program for the month of Tishrei*, which is approaching. This month is "satiated with all powers," according to the expression of our Sages in the Midrash* Vayikra Rabbah, chapter 29, paragraph 8, whose lengthy explanation you will consult. This concerns the youth of the Chabad* association, Chabad* women, and everything that pertains to Chabad* in the Holy Land and even in the entire world. Indeed, Elul* does not merely take stock of the past. It also constitutes a favorable preparation for the future. No doubt you will convey these words to every place you can contact, for time does not permit writing at length to each person. May Hashem grant that you inform me of good news of all this.

לפלא שזה כמה שבועות שאין ממנו כל מכתבים, אף שבטח נצלו ימי החופש באופן המתאים לפעולות צעירי אגו"ח בכלל ולפעולות האמורות במסגרת זו ביחוד.

ועל של עתה באתי לעורר על ההכרח הכי גדול להכין תכנית מפורטת בהנוגע לחדש תשרי הבע"ל שהוא חדש המושבע בכל וכלשון רז"ל בזה (ויקרא רבה פ' כט, ח.

עיי"ש בארוכה). וכוונתי בזה לצעירי אגו"ח לנשי חב"ד וכו' וכל עניני חב"ד אשר באה"ק ת"ו וגם בכל העולם כולו, כמו שחדש אלול בכלל אין ענינו רק חשבון על העבר אלא גם הכנה טובה בהנוגע להעתיד. ובטח ימסור דברי אלה בכל מקום שידו מגעת כיון שאין הזמן גרמא לכתוב לכאו"א בארוכה ויה"ר שיבשר טוב בכל האמור.
