Blessings and greetings,

I am responding to your letter of 17/11, in which you tell me about your studies and the difficulties you encounter in observing Shabbos*. Indeed, certain people ask you to go to school on that day.

It would be good to approach the Rav* of your community and ask him, together with the communal leaders, to do everything in his power to intervene in this matter. He can explain to the school administration the great importance of Shabbos* — the fact, in particular, that it is considered by our Sages* as equivalent to all the Mitzvos*.

Even if you arrange the matter of Shabbos* in a positive manner, it is quite obvious that it remains particularly advisable to consider continuing your studies at the seminary in Tangier. It seems to me that one also receives secular education there. You will therefore be able to follow those courses when you are there.

You will explain to your parents that Hashem extends His Providence to each and every person, that He nourishes and sustains everyone with kindness, grace, benevolence, and mercy. If they authorize you to continue your studies at this seminary, where sacred studies are also pursued, you will go there as soon as possible. Naturally, all of this will help you establish yourself in life afterward. I am therefore surprised that this is being delayed for a certain time. May Hashem grant that this intervention bear fruit as well.

I am sure that you recite at least one prayer every morning, and also every evening before going to sleep. May Hashem grant you the success of conveying good tidings of all this,

במענה למכתבה מיום /17;11amp&, בו כותבת על דבר לימודה והקישויים שיש לה בהנוגע ליום הש"ק, שיש דורשים ממנה שתבקר בבית הספר גם ביום זה.

ומהנכון הי' שתפנה להרב דקהלתם ולבקשו שביחד עם עסקני הצבור יעשה ככל התלוי בו בענין זה, על ידי שיבאר להנהלת בית הספר גודל ענין דשמירת שבת, ומה שאמרו רז"ל ששקולה שבת כנגד כל המצות ועוד ועוד.

אפילו אם יעלה בידה לסדר את ענין השבת באופן הכי טוב, מובן ופשוט שגם אז טוב ביותר וביותר שתלמוד בהסמינר דטנגיר, וכמדומה אשר שם לומדים גם לימודי חול, ולכן תוכל להמשיך גם לימודים אלו בהיותה שם, ויש לבאר להורי' שיחיו אשר השם יתברך ויתעלה הוא המשגיח על כל אחד ואחת בהשגחה פרטית, והוא הזן ומפרנס לכל בטובו בחן בחסד וברחמים, ועל ידי שירשו לה ללמוד בסמינר האמור, ששם נלמד לימודי קדש ויעשו זה בהקדם, ברור שכל זה יעזור לה בהסתדרותה בחיים בעתיד, ולכן פלא, שרוצים לדחות את זה למשך זמן, ויהי רצון שגם השתדלות זו תצליח.

בטח נוהגת לומר איזה תפלה בכל יום בבקר וגם בלילה לפני הליכתה לישון, והשי"ת יצליחה לבשר טוב בכל האמור.
