To the Rav*, the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem, Rav Tzvi (note 1: Rav T. Chitrik, of Rio de Janeiro; see on his subject letter no. 5854),

Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter of 2 Kislev* and I am surprised that in this letter as well, you make no mention of publications on Chassidus* and all that pertains to it in the press organs read by the Jews of your country. Moreover, I recall that a few years ago, you wrote to me that you had had a conversation with the editor of one of the local newspapers and had even become close. Naturally, no lengthy explanation is needed to establish how useful this is.

Although you say nothing about it, I hope, as I said regarding the preparations for the 19th of Kislev*, that you are developing a detailed program in order to use this day to spread the wellsprings* (note 2: of Chassidus*). Its effect will be maintained during the following weeks and months. Indeed, it is the Rosh Hashanah* of Chassidus* and of Chassidic* ways, and the term used is Rosh* — the head and not the beginning — just as the head carries within it the vitality of all the limbs of the body, as various texts establish. Nothing stands in the way of the will, so long as the strength has been granted.

במענה למכתבו מב' כסלו, לפלא שגם בו אינו מזכיר אודות ההדפסה במכ"ע הנקראים ע"י בני ישראל שבמדינתם, ענינים דתורת החסידות און דעם ארום פון חסידות, ובפרט שכזכור לי לפני איזה שנים כתב שהתדבר והתידד עם עורך עתון המופיע שם, והתועלת שבדבר בודאי אין צריך ביאור ואריכות.

תקותי אף שאינו כותב עד"ז שהזכרותיו אודות ההכנות לי"ט כסלו, הרי מכינים תכנית מפורטת איך לנצל יום זה להפצת המעינות, ובאופן שיהי' רישומו ניכר במשך השבועות והחדשים שלאחר זה, וכיון שנקרא ראש השנה לחסידות ודרכי החסידות, שבודאי שגם בזה הדיוק ראש ולא תחלה, וכמו הראש הכולל חיות האברים וכמבואר זה בכ"מ, ואין לך דבר העומד בפני הרצון, שהרי היכולת על זה ניתנה.
