Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter of 3 Kislev*. At a propitious moment, I will mention all those you cite near the holy resting place (Ohel*) of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us, so that each one may obtain the fulfillment of his needs, in accordance with what you write. The more you intensify your study of the Torah* — the revealed dimension and Chassidus* — with enthusiasm and ardor, as well as your observance of the Mitzvos* in the finest manner, the more you will multiply the blessings of Hashem in your own needs and obtain the fulfillment of your request.

We are approaching the days of Chanukah* and it is surely unnecessary to remind you of the teaching of these days. In everything concerning the Torah* and the Mitzvos*, a constant increase is necessary, even when it appears to our eyes of flesh that the situation is not so good. On Chanukah*, one lights the candles beginning from sunset. Despite this, one adds one each day. And regarding the candle and the light, the verse states: "The candle is a Mitzvah* and the Torah* is a light" — in particular for a young man who is a Yeshivah* student.

You surely observe the three daily studies covering the Chumash*, Tehillim*, and Tanya*, which are well known. At the very least, you will adopt them in the future.

בעת רצון אזכיר את כל אלו שכותב אודותם על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע כאו"א להמצטרך לו מתאים לתוכן כתבו, וככל שיוסיף הוא בלימוד תורתנו הק' בנגלה וחסידות בהתמדה ושקידה והידור בקיום המצות יתוסף בברכות השי"ת בהמצטרך ובמילוי בקשתו הנ"ל.

וכיון שמתקרבים אנו לימי חנוכה, בודאי למותר להדגיש הוראת ענין חנוכה שבעניני תורה ומצות צריך להיות באופן דמוסיף והולך דוקא ואפילו כשהמצב נראה לעיני בשר שאינו טוב כ"כ, וכדין דחנוכה שמדליקין הנר משתשקע החמה, ובכל זה מוסיפין מיום ליום וענין האור והנר כבר אמר הכתוב נר מצוה ותורה אור ובפרט באברך בן ישיבה.

בודאי שומר שלשת השיעורים בחומש תהלים ותניא הידועים ועכ"פ ישמור עליהם מכאן ולהבא.
