I have received your letter from this Friday. May the Creator of the world, Who directs it, grant you immediate success in announcing only good news, which will be, in the expression of our Sages*, "good for the heavens and good for the creatures." If we reflect upon what is happening around us, especially in our era, when all principles are being called into question, we can observe that these elements are connected.

Indeed, one who does not acknowledge the necessity of being "good for the heavens" — of serving Hashem* — may be suspected of also neglecting the good of the creatures. This will lead him to conduct himself in ways that are harmful and damaging in the relationships established between people.

You have surely heard, at least briefly, about 19 Kislev* which approaches. Your letter reaches me near this date, and I therefore enclose a pamphlet explaining the history of this festival. It will surely interest you.

בעונג רב קבלתי את מכתבו בו כותב אודות ההתוועדות של יום
הבהיר י״ט כסלו יום גאולת אדמו׳׳ר הזקן ,וכפי שנשיאינו רבותינו הק׳
קוראים ליום זה ראש השנה ללימוד החסידות ולדרכי החסידות ,ובראש
השנה הרי אומרים לשנה טובה תכתב ותחתם ,כך גם י״ט כסלו בנוגע
לענינים האמורים ,שהרי גם עבודת השם יתברך בשמחה ובטוב לבב היא
מדרכי החסידות ,וכפתגם הנעלה של הבעל שם טוב ששמענו מכ״ק מו״ח
אדמו״ר ,לעבוד את השם יתברך ביחד עם הגוף ,ולא לסגפו ע״י תעניות
וסיגופים,
ויהי רצון שתמיד יבשר בשורות טובות מתוך בריאות הנכונה
ועבודת ה׳ בשמחה ובטוב לבב.
