I bless you and greet you,

I have received your letter of 27 Cheshvan*, which has just reached me. I am surprised that until now you have not written to me about your activities in the field of education, particularly since it appears that your efforts are bearing fruit.

You tell me that your students, when they reach a certain age, go to another kindergarten — a non-religious one. It would be good, on this point, to bring this to the attention of the administrators of the school in which you serve. Indeed, you thereby lose not only the students themselves, but also, to a large extent, the influence exerted upon the parents. This harms the image of your group and, above all, the religious domain. It will surely be easy to arrange for your school to accommodate children of five years old and, more generally, to retain them until their entry into regular school. One year, at such a young age, can have a significant impact on the children. Furthermore, as has been said, one will thereby be able to influence the parents for an additional year.

Undoubtedly, the Chabad* women in your surroundings will make use of the month of Kislev* in general, and the 10th and 19th of Kislev* in particular, to develop their activities. I hope that you yourself are active in this area, and whoever multiplies their action is worthy of praise, especially regarding the entire community.

מאשרים מכתבה מכ"ז חשון שנתקבל זה עתה, ולפלא שעד עתה לא כתבה

מעבודתה בשטח החינוך ובפרט שכנראה רואה היא פירות בעמלה.

ובמ"ש שבהגיע המחונכים שלה לגיל ידוע עוברים לגן ילדים אחר שהוא חפשי, מהנכון הי' שתעורר ע"ז שימת לב בעלי המוסד בו מכהנת, שע"י שהנ"ל אבודים לא רק הילדים אלא גם במדה חשובה ההשפעה על ההורים, וזה מזיק גם מנקודת מבט מפלגתי נוסף על העיקר - ענין הדתי, ובודאי בקל יש לסדר, שהמוסד שלה יוכל להתאים גם לילדים בני חמש ובכלל עד הגיל בו נכנסים לבי"ס רגיל, ושנה בגיל רך כזה הרי הישג חשוב הוא גם בנוגע להילד נוסף שעי"ז משפיעים על ההורים עוד שנה אחת.

בודאי נשי חב"ד שבסביבתה תנצלנה ימי חדש כסלו בכלל וימי יו"ד וי"ט כסלו ביחוד להתפתחות עבודתן, ותקותי שגם היא מהפעילות בזה וכל המרבה ה"ז משובח ובפרט בענין הנוגע לרבים.
