From the way you describe the situation in your community and in your synagogue, it is certain that, if you transmit all these details to the organizations that distribute Sifrei Torah*, they will seek the means to accede to your request. It is clear that a Sefer Torah* is important for a group, a Jewish community, which must make a public reading from it. But, this also underscores the immense importance of educating children based on sacred values, on the sanctity of the Torah* and its mitzvos*. You will also consult the Shulchan Aruch*, Yoreh Deah*, at the end of chapter 270, according to which, in our days, the mitzvah* also includes writing the five books of the Torah*, the Mishnah*, the Gemara*, and the commentaries. You will further see what the commentators of the Shulchan Aruch* say at this same reference. It follows that intervention and effort are particularly necessary regarding this education based on sacred values. Now, nothing withstands determination. I therefore have good hope that you and your friends, sharing the same opinion, will devote yourselves to this to the fullest extent possible. May Hashem* grant that you know success in this matter as well.

I take this opportunity to remind you that it is proper to maintain the three well-known daily studies — the Chumash*, the Tehillim*, and the Tanya*. As we have heard many times from my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us, these concern everyone and they have a propitious character in various domains.

...כפי שמתאר המצב בקהלתו ובית הכנסת שלו, הרי בטח כשימסור כל פרטים אלו להמשרדים המחלקים ספרי תורה, יחקרו בדבר איך למלאות בקשתו.

והנה אף שבודאי גדול ענין ספר תורה במחנה וקהלת ישראל וקריאה בצבור, הרי זה עצמו מכריח את ענין הכי גדול דחנוך הבנים והבנות על טהרת הקדש קדושת התורה וקדושת מצותי', ועיין ג"כ שו"ע יו"ד סוף סי' ע"ר, האידנא מצוה לכתוב חומשי תורה ומשנה וגמרא ופירושיהן, ובנ"כ השו"ע שם, שמזה מובן שצריכה להיות השתדלות ויגיעה בהחנוך עטה"ק דוקא ביותר וביותר, והרי אין לך דבר העומד בפני הרצון, ותקותי שהוא וחבירו לדיעה מתעסקים בזה ככל הדרוש, ויהי רצון שגם בזה יצליח.

בהזדמנות זו אעוררו על שמירת שלשת השיעורים דחומש תהלים ותניא הידועים, אשר כפי ששמענו כ"פ מכ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, שוים הם לכל נפש וסגולה לכו"כ ענינים.
