To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem,

the Rav A. M.,[1]

I greet you and bless you.

I have received your letter of 29 Nissan and I thank you very much for the statistical data you have communicated to me concerning education.

You propose the creation of a teachers' seminary, and I would ask you to clarify your idea concerning this pedagogical training that would be capable of rapidly forming staff. It would last between three and six months, would be addressed to those who already possess the fundamental notions necessary for teaching, and would provide only a pedagogical, methodical training, the bases of which could effectively be transmitted within the time allotted.

As far as possible, I wish to receive — together with the details of this proposal — a list of persons capable of teaching in this framework, and the means of financing.

When this proposal takes a definitive form, we will be able to study, with Hashem's help, the possibility of realizing it.

מכתבו מכ"ט ניסן הגיעני ורב תודות לו על הידיעות הסטטיסטות אדות מצב החנוך.

בנוגע להצעתו אדות סמנריון למורים אבקשו לבא בהצעה מפורטת אדות שעורים פדוגוגית שתפקידם יהי' להכשיר במשך זמן קצר (3 - 6 חדשים) מורים אשר בדרך כלל יש כבר להם הידיעות היסודי[ו]ת הדרושות לכל מורה וזקוקים רק להכשרה פדוגוגיים - מיתודית אשר עכ"פ את המינימום ההכרחי שבזה אפשר לקבלו במשך זמן קצר כנ"ל.

רצוני - אם באפשרי - אשר יחד עם ההצעה הנ"ל תכלל גם רשימת אנשים אשר אפשר לחשוב כי יוכלו לספחם להיות המרצים בשיעורים וביחוד התקציב.

אחר שתתקבל ההצעה הנ"ל נוכל אי"ה לדון אדות האפשרות להביאה לפועל...
