Igrot Kodesh · Letter 618 — Chinuch
Volume 3 · Letter 221
By the grace of Hashem,
1 Sivan 5710,
To the directors of the Talmud Torah and the Yeshiva for the immigrants from Russia in the Holy Land, may Hashem grant them long life,
I greet and bless you,
I duly received your letter of 16 Iyar, with the list of students, and I thank you for it. I took note with pleasure of the report on the development of your activities.
Your concrete initiatives to bring a good education to the children originating from Yemen are very positive. Without a doubt, you will multiply them in the future, in accordance with the constant demand of my father-in-law, the Frierdiker Rebbe: "Tomorrow must be totally different."
You are surely striving, to the full extent of your means, to broaden the circle of those who come to your aid, materially and spiritually. Obviously, the more each person gives of himself to purify himself and to purify others — as the Likkutei Torah explains in the fifth chapter of the maamar* entitled "Hashem is with me through those who help me"[1] — the more one will be helped to reach this objective.
I have asked Rav Ch. M. A. Chodakov to send you some suggestions for your study program. You will receive his letter in a few days.
Wishing you all the best, and that you receive the Torah with joy and depth,
M. Schneerson
