By the grace of Hashem*,

To the distinguished Chassidim* who fear Hashem*, who participate in the collection for the benefit of the Yeshivah* Tomchei Temimim*, in France, may Hashem* grant you long life,

Abundant greetings and blessings,

I have learned with satisfaction, through the Rav*, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem* and devotes himself to communal needs, of many accomplishments, Rav Peretz Motchkin (note 1: See, on his subject, Letter no. 6449), that you are taking part in the strengthening of the Yeshivah* Tomchei Temimim*, in France (note 2: In Brunoy, in the Parisian region). To someone like you, it is surely unnecessary to explain at length the great importance and the great merit of supporting this Yeshivah*. It will therefore suffice to remind you, to counsel eagerness in this matter, and to influence your friends and acquaintances so that they do the same (note 3: That they also support the Yeshivah*). The merit of the public will come to your aid.

The Zohar*, commenting on the verse: "She (note 4: The Torah*) is a tree of life for those who strengthen themselves in her and those who support her are happy," says: "Do not read Meushar*, happy, but Merosho*, from its head" (note 5: The Rebbe* notes at the bottom of the page: "You will consult the Chassidic* discourse entitled: 'Tree of Life,' of Simchas Torah* 5699 and the saying of the Alter Rebbe* on this subject"). May Hashem* therefore grant that His blessing be revealed in all the needs of each of you, with the members of his family, "from its head," that is, from the most profound stage of the Ein Sof* to the lowest point, in the form of children, health, and prosperity in abundance. With my blessing to convey good news of all this,

בנועם נודעתי ע"י הרה"ח אי"א נו"נ עוסק בצ"צ רב פעלים הרב מו"ה פרץ שי' מאצקין, מהשתתפותם בהחזקת ישיבת תומכי תמימים אשר בצרפת.

ובודאי לדכוותייהו למותר האריכות בביאור גודל הענין וגודל הזכות של כל מחזיקי ישיבה זו.

ולא נצרכה אלא להעדפה ולזריזות ולהשפעה על ידידיהם ומכיריהם שגם הם יעשו כהנ"ל, וזכות הרבים תלוי בהם.

ויהי רצון אשר כדרשת הזהר עה"כ עץ חיים היא למחזיקים בה ותומכיה מאושר א"ת מאושר אלא מראשו*, תומשך ברכת השי"ת בהמצטרך לכל אחד מהם הוא וב"ב שי' מראשו, היינו מפנימיות אין סוף עד למטה מטה לבני חיי ומזוני רווחי.
