I am responding to your letter requesting a blessing, which will be read at a propitious moment at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us. You allude to your weakness and your disturbances during sleep. Now, one can think that these two symptoms result from your disorganization regarding food, drink, and sleep. You know to what extent our masters demanded, took care, and applied all their scrupulousness to having a well-organized day. They explained and emphasized that disorder obstructs success in the fulfillment of the Torah* and the mitzvos*. Moreover, in this case, this calls into question your sacred mission, that of Zevulun* (note 1: Whose commercial activity enabled the financing of the Torah* study of Yissachar*), which even precedes that of Yissachar* (note 2: Who devoted himself to study thanks to the financing of Zevulun*). Indeed, the verse says clearly, on this subject: "Rejoice, Zevulun*, in your going out" (note 3: One must therefore be able to assume this mission joyfully). All of this is quite evident.

It would be good to consult a physician in order to calm these symptoms. You will ask him to set you a time for eating and drinking. To the extent possible, you will endeavor to respect it. And, Hashem* will allow you to be healed and strong. With my blessing to convey good news of all this, of your success in your sacred mission, and of the appropriate preparation to fully benefit from the vacances (note 4: In French in the original text) that are approaching,

שלום וברכה! במענה למכתבו פ"נ, שיקרא בעת רצון על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע.

במ"ש אודות החלישות שלו, וכן מהפרעות בעת השינה, יש מקום לומר ששני הענינים הוא מהבלתי סדר והעדר זמנים קבועים לאכילה שתי' שינה וכו', והרי ידוע עד כמה דרשו וגם דייקו והקפידו רבותינו על סדר חיים מסודרים וביארו והסבירו שמונע צ הבלתי סדר צ להצלחה בקיום התורה ומהצות ובפרט בנדון כזה שנוגע למלאכתו בקדש מלאכת זבולון שקדם לישכר, ואופן מלאכתו הרי מקרא מלא דבר הכתוב שמח זבולון בצאתך, וק"ל.

ומהנכון שישאל דעת רופא בכדי להשקיטו מהתרגשות מהנ"ל ויבקשו לקבוע לו זמני האכילה שתי' וכו' ועד כמה שאפשר ישתדל לשמור עליהם והשי"ת ישלח דברו ויחלימהו ויחזקהו.
