Shalom* u'vracha*,
You tell me that it is now difficult for you to pray with fervor, as you had been accustomed to in the country where you previously lived (note 1: In Russia). There is surely an incitement of your evil inclination in this and you will therefore pay no attention to it. You will redouble your ardor in your prayer. Before and after it, you will say at least one of the Tehillim* of the Sweet Singer of Israel (note 2: King David), which are known to be propitious in such a case.
It would be good to have your Tefillin* checked and the Mezuzos* of your apartment, in order to ensure that they are kosher*, in conformity with the Halachah*. Each weekday, before the prayer, you will give a few coins to tzedakah*.

הנה בטח זהו מפיתויי היצר, ולכן לא ישים לבו לזה כלל, יתאמץ בתפלה, ולפני התפלה וגם לאחרי התפלה יאמר עכ"פ סימן אחד מס' התהלים של נעים זמירות ישראל וכידוע שסגולה הם לכגון דא.
מהנכון אשר יבדקו את התפילין שלו וכן את המזוזות בדירתו שתהיינה כולן כשרות כדין, ובכל יום חול קודם תפלת הבקר יפריש איזה פרוטות לצדקה.
