After a particularly long interruption, I have received your letter of 9 Sivan* and, at a propitious moment, I will mention all those you cite at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us, so that each one obtains the satisfaction of his needs, in conformity with what you write. You tell me that you have difficulty earning your livelihood and that an opportunity presents itself for you to go, for some time, outside of Eretz Yisrael*, where you will be sent by a religious department. Your letter seems to indicate that the salary you will receive will allow you not only to meet your current needs, but also to repay some of your old debts.

From what one hears, those who assume such missions are given the opportunity to act, in the spiritual domain, according to their conscience. If this is indeed the case and if your wife accepts the principle of this trip, it is good for you to pursue it, all the more so that this trip will also allow you to earn your livelihood spiritually, since it will be possible for you to spread Judaism in the spirit of the Tradition of Israel, wherever you go.

You inform me of the disappointment you feel regarding your class, in which you have invested so many efforts. From what one hears indirectly, it is however certain that you possess abilities in the domain of education and, one of two things: either you underestimate the results you obtain and do not observe them as they truly are, the situation being better than what you describe, or you are not making full use of your abilities and it is in this regard that it is said: "Salvation comes from many counselors." In any case, you must make use of your pedagogical talents and the proposal cited in the first paragraph no doubt consists of teaching in the place where you will go.

I am surprised that you do not tell me about the actions you are carrying out within the framework of the youth of the Chabad* association, for I am certain that you are doing so. May Hashem* grant you success in this matter, as well as to your wife. Furthermore, you bring to my attention the condition of your wife and may Hashem* grant that her pregnancy go well and that it be easy. May she give birth at the proper time and easily. With my blessing to convey good news of all this,

לאחרי הפסק הכי ארוך נתקבל מכתבו מט' בסיון, ובעת רצון יזכירו את כל אלה שכותב אודותם על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע כאו"א להמצטרך לו מתאים לתוכן כתבו.

ובמ"ש אודות מצב פרנסתו הדחוק והאפשרית שיסע בשליחות ממחלקה דתית, לאיזה זמן לחו"ל, שכנראה ממכתבו המשכורת בעד זה מספיקה לא רק להוצאה ופרנסה בהווה, אלא שנשאר כסף לסילוק החובות שמקודם.

הנה כפי הנשמע הנוסעים בשליחות כהנ"ל יש ביכולתם להתנהג בענינים הרוחנים מתאים למצפונם, וא"כ הוא, וזוגתו תחי' מסכימה לנסיעה כזו, נכון להתענין בדבר, ובפרט שהרי גם פרנסה רוחנית בהענין שיוכל להפיץ היהדות ברוח ישראל סבא במקומות לשם יסע.

במ"ש אודות האכזבה שיש לו כשמתבונן בכתתו בה השקיע מאמצים כ"כ רבים. צ הנה כפי הנשמע מהצד, ברור שיש לו כשרונות בשטח החינוך, ולכן אחת משתי אלה, או שאינו מעריך את התוצאות ורואה אותם לא בהתאם המציאות (שהיא טובה יותר מאשר מתארה), או שמנצל את הכשרונות לא באופן המתאים, ועל כזה נאמר ותשועה ברוב יועץ. אבל בכל אופן שצריך לנצל כשרונותיו בהחינוך, והרי גם ההצעה שבסעיף א' כנראה כוונתו לענינים של חינוך במקום לשם יסעו

לפלא שאינו מזכיר בהנוגע לפעולות במסגרת צעירי אגו"ח אף שבטוחני שגם בזה מתעסק, והשי"ת יצליחו וזוגתו תחי' בכל האמור.

ולהודעתו ממצב זוגתו תחי', השי"ת ימלא ימי הריונה כשורה ובנקל ותלד זחו"ק בעתה ובזמנה כשורה ובקל.
