By the grace of Hashem*,

6 Tammuz* 5718,

Brooklyn,

Blessings and greetings,

I am responding to your letter from the eve of Shabbos* Parshas* Bamidbar* and to the one that preceded it. It seems to me I have already told you and, in any case, such is the teaching of our Sages*, that there is no reason to meddle in the affairs of a couple, especially in this domain, all the more so since both have the fear of Hashem*, and they put the mitzvos* into practice.

If certain points need to be repaired or, at the very least, improved, it is preferable to do so indirectly, in a pleasant and peaceful manner. Not only is it judicious to proceed in this way, but, moreover, from the standpoint of effectiveness, one can observe that indirect action, carried out with closeness, brings more than anger and constraint. May Hashem* grant that, for long days and good years, you derive from all your children much true satisfaction, a Jewish and Chassidic* satisfaction. With my blessing to convey good news,
