By the grace of Hashem*,

8 Tammuz* 5718,

To the children of Israel at Gan Israel* (note 1: Of Montreal. The same letter was addressed to several vacation centers),

at their head, to the counselors, the directors, and all

the staff, may Hashem* grant them long life,

Greetings and blessings,

I have learned, with pleasure and joy, of the opening of the two Gan Israel* vacation centers, as well as that of the day camp, which will take place on the luminous day of the festival of liberation of 12 Tammuz*, which approaches. May Hashem* grant that the opening and the beginning be at a good and fruitful time. Then, success and blessing will continue in all the domains of Gan Israel*, material and spiritual, the ones depending on the others. Gan Israel* will be true to its name (note 2: Garden of Israel) and will produce good trees bearing good fruit. In them will be fulfilled the words of the verse, alluding to the Holy One, blessed be He: "May my Beloved come into His garden," and may a dwelling be built for Him here below, through the good influence exercised on the participants, who will study with constancy and ardor our Torah*, Torah* of life, will practice its mitzvos* in the best manner, with Chassidic* light and warmth.

The merit of all those who make efforts, who come to the aid and who stand at the head — as our Sages* explain regarding the verse: "Those who confer merit upon the public will shine like the stars for eternity" — will protect them, as well as all the members of their families, in all their needs, material and spiritual. With my blessing for considerable success,

וזכות כל המשתדלים והמסייעים בזה והמדריכים בראשם צ וכדרשת רז"ל על הכתוב ומצדיקי הרבים ככוכבים לעולם ועד צ תעמוד להם ולכל בני ביתם שי' בהמצטרך להם בגשמיות וברוחניות.
