By the grace of Hashem*,

Greetings and blessings,

I received with pleasure your letter from the end of the third month (note 1: After the month of the Exodus from Egypt, that is, Sivan*), in which you tell me that you bear no resentment. You maintain that this young man behaved badly. It is, nevertheless, said that "the number of years brings wisdom." Thus, this wisdom increases from year to year, from time to time, relative to what it was before, and this young man is, after all, still a child (note 2: The Rebbe notes at the bottom of the page: "Which means, according to the commentators of the verse Shmuel* I, 1:24, that he was and is still a young man. Despite this, what happened could not have been prevented"). May Hashem* grant that his wisdom develop and, in the words of the Mishnah*, that it be maintained because it will be preceded by his fear of Hashem*. Thus, he will cause much satisfaction to his parents and to all the members of his family.

At a propitious moment, I will mention all those you cite at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us, in accordance with what you write to me. The merit of your action and your effort for the Torah* classes given at the synagogue, on the complete Torah*, its revealed part and on Chassidus*, will protect you, as well as all those who do the same and who lend their assistance, so that all your needs may be satisfied, spiritual and material.

We approach the festival of liberation of 12 and 13 Tammuz*, the liberation of our master and our head, head of Israel, and "the body follows the head." May Hashem* therefore grant that each one of us be liberated, within all of Israel, delivered from all that is an obstacle. One will thus obtain an evident victory, as was the case "in those days, at this time," thirty-one years ago. In this way, with breadth of spirit, one will redouble one's ardor in all the domains for which the one whose joy we celebrate gave of himself — and above all, in the formation of students who will have the fear of Hashem*, who will study His Torah* in its integrity, revealed part and deep teaching, who will fulfill the mitzvos* of Hashem* in the best manner. נעם לי לקבל מכתבו משילהי ירחא תליתאי, ובו כותב אשר אין טינא בלב וכו'.

ולטענתו אשר הנער נהג שלא כדבעי וכו' הרי כיון שכתוב שרוב שנים יודיעו חכמה, מובן שמתוסף ענין בזה שמשנה לשנה מזמן לזמן מתוספת חכמה ממה שהיתה לפני זה והנער נער*, ויהי רצון אשר יגדל בחכמה וכדבר המשנה שתהי' חכמתו מתקיימת ע"י שיראתו קודמת ורוב נחת הוריו וכל בני המשפחה שיחיו.

בעת רצון יזכירו את כל אלה שכותב אודותם על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע מתאים לתוכן כתבוו.

וזכות השתדלותו ויגיעתו בשיעורי הלימוד אשר בביהכ"נו, שיעורים בתורה תמימה הנגלה ובחסידות, תעמוד לכת"ר ולכל המשתדלים והמסייעים להמצטרך להם מנפש ועד בשר.

והרי מתקרבים אנו לחג הגאולה י"ב וי"ג תמוז גאולת רבנו נשיאנו ראש ישראל וגופא בתר רישא אזיל, הנה יהי רצון שיגאל כאו"א מאתנו בתכ"י גאולה מכל ענינים המבלבלים ובנצחון גלוי עליהם כמו שהי' בימים ההם בזמן הזה לפני ל"א שנה, ומתוך הרחבת הדעת יגבירו חיילים בכל אותם הענינים עליהם מסר נפשו בעל השמחה, ולכל לראש בהעמדת תלמידים יראי השי"ת ולומדים תורתו תמימה (הנגלה והפנימית) ומקיימי מצות ה' בהידור.
