To the great Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem*,

of multiple accomplishments, filled with eagerness,

Rav Dov Zeev (note 1: Rav D. Z. Steinhauz, of Copenhagen),

Greetings and blessings,

I have duly received your letter of Rosh Chodesh* Tammuz*, to which was attached a copy of the contract (note 2: Presumably specifying the responsibilities incumbent upon each party), at a good and fruitful time — for the dissemination, in your city, of Judaism in the spirit of the Tradition of Israel, by creating there a holy Yeshivah* in which the complete Torah* will be studied.

May Hashem* grant that the beginning of all this be at a good and fruitful time, of a visible and tangible good, which means that there will be fewer and fewer difficulties and obstacles to the development of so important a project. This holy institution will strengthen itself quantitatively, through the number of those who will pursue their studies there, and qualitatively, through the level of these studies. Indeed, one confers merit upon propitious days, and your letter reached me in the days close to 12 and 13 Tammuz*, dates of the liberation of our master and head, the head of Israel, my father-in-law, the Rebbe*. Now, "the body follows the head." With my respects and my blessing for success in all that has been said, for you and for all those who participate with you in this project of the highest importance,

אשר יתמעטו הלוך ופוחת המניעות והקישוים האפשרים להיות להתפתחות ענין הכי נעלה זה, ויתבסס המוסד הק' ויתפתח הן בכמות (מספר הלומדים בקדש) והן באיכות (רמת הלימודים) ומגלגלין זכות ליומין זכאין אשר נתקבל מכתב כת"ר בימים הסמוכים לימי י"ב וי"ג תמוז, גאולת רבנו נשיאנו ראש ישראל, הוא כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר, וגופא בתר רישא אזיל.

בכבוד ובברכת הצלחה בכל האמור לכת"ר ולכל המשתתפים אתו עמו בעבודה קדושה והכי נעלה האמורה.
