Rav Menachem Nachum Yitzchak Aizik (note 1: Rav M. N. I. A. Chanun, of Jerusalem. See, on his subject, Letter no. 2752),

Greetings and blessings,

I thank you for the Chassidic* discourse (note 2: Presumably of one of the Chabad masters) that you enclosed with your letter. You write that you possess several others. No doubt you know the path they followed before reaching you, and you will make it known to me. If possible, you will send me the list, specifying, when you have knowledge of it, the title, the author, and the year of each one.

To change the subject while remaining in the same context, I saw in a fascicle that you are the descendant of a well-known Chassid* who repeated the Chassidic* discourses of the Mitteler Rebbe*. I would like to know whether you have in your possession elements of biography or writings of this Chassid*. I thank you for writing to me about all of this in detail. You know how much importance our masters accorded to such information. With my blessing to convey good news of all this,

שלום וברכה!... ת"ח בעד מאמר דא"ח שצרף למכתבו, וכיון שכותב שכמה מאמרים כאלו נמצאים תחת ידו, בטח יודע ויודיע סדר השתלשלותם לידו ומה טוב גם רשימה מהם (ד"ה של כל אחד מהם ומי הוא בעל המאמר והשנה - באם יודע הוא גם את זה).

מענין לענין באותו ענין, ראיתי באחד מקונטרס' שהוא מיו"ח החוזר המפורסם של אדמו"ר האמצעי, ואתענין לדעת אם יש אצלו ידיעות מדברי ימי החוזר הנ"ל, כתבים שלו וכו'. ות"ח מראש על כתבו בפרטיות בכל האמור, והרי ידוע עד כמה הוקירו כ"ק אדמו"ר ידיעות כגון אלו.
