Greetings and blessings,

I have heard a surprising piece of news that someone raised his hand against you while you were carrying out your sacred mission, which consists of dispensing an education based on sacred values. From what I have been told, the one who raised his hand thought he was defending these values by acting in this manner.

No doubt you are not discouraged by this. For, in essence, it is not against you that he raised his hand, but against me. Moreover, even if he had only attacked you, our Sages* specify what is the nature of one who strikes a Jew. But, in this case, one can say that he attacked me and that you were merely my emissary. Now, this man has in no way inspired in me the desire to weaken my work. I therefore have good hope that the same will be true for you regarding your own work and that, on the contrary, you will redouble your ardor and enthusiasm in this matter. May Hashem* grant you great success, which will allow all your needs, spiritual and material, to be satisfied. With my blessing to convey good news of all this,

שלום וברכה! הגיעתני שמועה מוזרה אשר מי שהוא הרים יד עליך בקשר עם עבודתך בקדש חנוך עטה"ק... וכפי שהודיעוני, הרי המרים יד, כאילו קנא קנאת הקדש וכו'.

ובודאי לא נפל רוחך עליך, כי בפנימיות הענין הרי לא עליך הרים יד (שגם אז הרי מלתו אמורה בדברי רז"ל ע"ד מהותו של המרים יד על בן ישראל), כי בנדון דידן הרי גם הרים יד עלי. ואת"ל - בעיקרו עלי ואתה אינך אלא שלוחי. וכמו שהנ"ל לא עשה עלי רושם להחליש העבודה בכלל, הרי תקותי חזקה שלא יפעול חלישות עליך בעבודתך ואדרבה עוד תוסיף אומץ והתעוררות בזה. והשי"ת יצליחך בהצלחה גדולה, ועי"ז יתוסף בכל המצטרך לך מנפש ועד בשר.
