By the grace of Hashem*,

Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter of 25 Menachem*. At a propitious moment, I will mention your name at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us, so that you may obtain the satisfaction of your needs, in accordance with what you write to me. May Hashem* grant that you give me good news of all that you recall. You speak of amnesia, Heaven forbid. There exists, for this, a favorable practice, which consists of studying Mishnah* by heart and of giving a few coins to Tzedakah* every weekday before the morning prayer. This practice is propitious in various domains, in particular for the requests that man formulates to Hashem* in his prayer. And our Sages* say: "One gives a coin to a poor person and then prays, as it is said: 'I will see Your face in justice.'"

It would be good to have your Tefillin* checked, as well as the Mezuzos* of your house, to ensure that they are all kosher*, in accordance with Halachah*. You will also maintain the practice of reading the Tehilim*, according to their monthly division, every day after the morning prayer. With my blessing to convey good news, to be inscribed and sealed for a good year,

בעת רצון יזכירוהו על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע להמצטרך לו מתאים לתוכן כתבו, ויהי רצון שיבשר טוב בכל אלו הענינים שכותב.

במ"ש אודות השכחה ל"ע ול"ע, ידועה הסגולה לזה ללמוד משניות בעל פה וכן נתינה לצדקה איזה פרוטות בימות החול קודם תפלת הבקר, וזהו סגולה לכמה ענינים ובכלל לבקשת האדם לבוראו בתפלתו, וכהודעת רז"ל יהיב פרוטה לעני והדר מצלי, וכמ"ש אני בצדק אחזה פניך גו'.

מהנכון אשר יבדקו את התפילין שלו וכן את המזוזות בדירתו שתהיינה כולן כשרות כדין, וישמור על התקנה דאמירת השיעור תהלים חדשי - כמו שנחלק התהלים לימי החדש - בכל יום אחר תפלת הבקר.
