By the grace of Hashem*,
22 Elul* 5718,
Brooklyn,
Blessings and greetings,
I am responding to your letter of the luminous day of 18 Elul*. At a propitious moment, I will mention your name and all those you cite at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit will protect us, so that each one may obtain the satisfaction of his needs, in accordance with what you write.
In accordance with what my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, says, the 18th of Elul* is the beginning of Rosh Hashanah*, which is approaching, for us and for all of Israel, for good. One can therefore already say: "May this year and its curses end, may the new year and its blessings begin." May there be henceforth only good news, of a visible and tangible good, in all the domains that you cite. May it be so in good health, with enthusiasm and material abundance. With my blessing that you be inscribed and sealed for a good year,
