Greetings and blessings,

The Rav*, the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem* and is distinguished by his good conduct, Rav Gershon Mendel Garelik, is ready to travel (note 2: See, on this subject, Letter no. 6614), these days, to Milan (note 3: A city of which he became the Rav and the emissary of the Rebbe*). It happens that he will need to receive his visa for Italy in one of the countries he will pass through during his journey — that is, in London or in Paris. I have therefore advised him to choose Paris, in order to seize this opportunity to have with you a meeting, long and short at once. In this way, you will be able to give him detailed instructions on what he must do in Milan.

If it is possible, it would be particularly judicious for you yourself to accompany him to Milan and to introduce him to his community. You well understand that this will strengthen and establish him, with the help of Hashem*. With my blessing to convey good news,

ואשר לכן, יעצתי לו לבחור בפאריז - כדי לנצל את ההזדמנות הזאת לשוחח ארוכות וקצרות עם כת"ר ולקבל הוראותיו המפורטות נידון עבודתו במילאן.

והנה באם רק באפשר הי' נכון במאד מאד אם גם כת"ר יסע יחד אתו למילאן ולהציגו לפני קהילתו, ובודאי מובן גם לכת"ר, אשר דבר כזה בטח יבסס ויחזק את כל הענין בעזהשי"ת.
