To Madame Tzipora (note 1: Madame T. Bunin, of Raanana),

Blessings and greetings,

I am responding to your letter of 12 Kislev*, in which you tell me that the medical treatment will be performed on the luminous day of Zos Chanukah* (note 2: The eighth day of the festival). May Hashem* grant that it be fruitful. Until that date, you will place your trust in Hashem*, Who heals all flesh and performs wonders. He will send His word and heal you, through such treatment and such doctor. You will recover your strength and you will redouble your ardor in the spreading of the Torah* and of everything that concerns it, the central point being education based on sacred values. Indeed, Divine Providence has granted you the capacity and the means to achieve great accomplishments in this matter, with your husband (note 3: Rav Alexander Zisel Bunin), whom Hashem* will grant long life.

At the end of your letter, you tell me that you are ready to assume any other function. Now, what has just been said is indeed the most important function, requiring that one invest considerable strengths in it. Nevertheless, you wrote me these few lines, and there is surely in this an effect of Divine Providence. I will therefore emphasize to you the fundamental necessity of acting within the framework of the association of Chabad* women and girls, and of everything that concerns Kfar Chabad*. It must be so for various reasons. One of them is that such is the origin of your husband (note 4: Who comes from a Chabad* family). His home — that is, the mistress of his home and the members of his family — must therefore set the example of a Chabad* home, one of whose foundations is the spreading of the wellsprings of Chabad*, in every place where one can exercise one's influence. And one knows the saying transmitted by our masters and leaders according to which, by acting sincerely, one achieves success beyond the ways of nature. With my blessing to convey good news of all this,

במענה למכתבה מי"ב כסלו, בו כותבת על אשר קבעו הטפול הרפואי ביום הסגולה, זאת חנוכה.

ויהי רצון שיהי' בהצלחה, וגם בימים עד אז תהי' בטוחה בהשי"ת הרופא כל בשר ומפליא לעשות, שישלח דברו וירפאה ע"י טפול פלוני ורופא פלוני, ותחזור לאיתנה, ותוסיף אומץ בהפצת היהדות ועניני', ובנקודה התיכונה - בחינוך על טהרת הקדש, אשר השגחה העליונה נתנה לה היכולת והאפשריות לפעול גדולות בזה, ביחד עם בעלה שליט"א.

במ"ש בסיום מכתבה, שמוכנה לקבל עלי' כל תפקיד נוסף.

מובן שהנ"ל - הוא תפקיד הכי חשוב והדורש השקעת כחות גדולים. בכל זה, כיון שכתבה שורותים האמורות, שבודאי גם זה בהשגחה פרטית, הנני להדגיש גודל הענין דעבודה באגודת נשי ובנות חב"ד ועניני כפר חב"ד. ומכמה טעמים, ואחד מהם - שהרי סו"ס זהו מקור מחצבתו של בעלה שי', ועל הבית, ז.א. עקרת הבית ובני הבית - עליהם להיות דוגמא חי' לבית חבד"י, אשר אחד היסודות בה, הפצת מעינות חב"ד בכל מקום שידם מגעת. וידוע המסורה מרבותינו נשיאינו, שכאשר עושים בזה באמת - מצליחים למעלה מדרך הטבע.
