Greetings and blessings,
I have duly received, in its time, your letter, as well as the blessing on the occasion of the thirtieth wedding anniversary (note 1: Of the Rebbe*, celebrated on 14 Kislev* 5689/1928, the thirtieth anniversary being therefore 14 Kislev* 5719/1958), and I thank you for it. In the expression of our Sages*, it has already been explained that "whoever blesses is himself blessed, with the blessing of the Holy One, blessed be He, as it is said (note 2: Concerning our father Avraham): 'I will bless those who bless you.'"
In fact, it is explained that the blessing of the Holy One, blessed be He, possesses a wondrous quality. It arouses a new Will and reveals the most lofty influence, as various texts explain, in particular the Chassidic* discourse entitled: "Rabbi Yehoshua Ben Levi says: 'I will bless those who bless you,'" published in the Sefer HaMaamarim* 5629 (note 3: 1869, by the Rebbe Maharash*, grandfather of the Previous Rebbe).

ובסגנון חז"ל - כבר מלתו אמורה, אשר כל המברך מתברך בברכתו של הקב"ה וכמ"ש ואברכה מברכיך.
והרי מבואר, אשר ברכתו של הקב"ה יש בה מעלה הנפלאה, אשר נמשך רצון חדש וברכה הכי עליונה.
וכמבואר בכ"מ ומהם בתורת דא"ח ד"ה אריב"ל כו' אברכה מברכיך (ספר המאמרים תרכ"ט).
