Greetings and blessings,

I received with pleasure your letter of 19 Kislev*, with what it contained. You will find enclosed the receipts, in accordance with your request. I was particularly pleased to read in your letter that you visited Kfar Chabad*, in our Holy Land, may it be restored and rebuilt very soon and in our days by our righteous Moshiach*. You inform me of the pleasure you took in this visit and of your impressions.

Merit is conferred upon a favorable day. Now, this is, in this case, the luminous day of 19 Kislev*, that of the liberation of the founder of the teaching of Chabad*, whose cornerstone is the love of Hashem*, the love of the Torah*, and the love of Israel — these three values forming a single entity. Following upon this, regarding Kfar Chabad*, you know to what extent the Alter Rebbe* emphasized the importance of Tzedakah* destined for our Holy Land, as several of his letters, printed in the Tanya*, indicate — especially at the end of chapter 4 of Iggeres HaKodesh*, which writes: "This is particularly the case for the Tzedakah* of Eretz Yisrael*, which has protected us in order to redeem the vitality of our souls" (note 2: To obtain the liberation of 19 Kislev*). I send you my respects and my blessing to convey good news, always and every day. You will kindly convey my greetings to your daughter and your son-in-law, who visited me at the same time as you.

בנועם קבלתי מכתבו מי"ט כסלו, עם המוסגר בו, ולוטה בזה הקבלות, מתאים להוראתו.

ביחוד התענגתי לקרוא במכתבו על דבר ביקורו בכפר חב"ד בארצנו הק', תבנה ותכונן על ידי משיח צדקנו במהרה בימינו, ועל דבר הנחת-רוח ששבע מביקורו והתרשמותו.

ומגלגלין זכות ליום זכאי, הוא יום הבהיר י"ט כסלו, יום הגאולה של מייסד תורת החב"ד שאבן פינתה היא שאהבת ה' אהבת התורה ואהבת ישראל כולי חד. ובהמשך להנ"ל בהנוגע לכפר חב"ד, הרי ידוע עד כמה הפליג אדמו"ר הזקן בענין הצדקה בארצנו הק', כנראה מכמה אגרות קודש שלו, נדפסו בספר התניא, ובפרט באגרת הקדש סוף סימן ד' אשר כותב שם: "ובפרט צדקת ארץ ישראל כו' והיא שעמדה לנו לפדות חיי נפשנו כו'".
