To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem*, Rav Yaakov Ze'ev (note 1: Rav Y. Z. Zupnick, of Jerusalem),

Greetings and blessings,

I thank you for your letter of 7 Shevat*, in which you announce good news to me — the development of the teaching of Chassidus* in the Chabad* synagogue of Meah Shearim*. No doubt you do not content yourself with the help offered by others in this matter, and you make every effort within your means to strengthen and expand this class. The same will be true for all the activities of spreading the wellsprings (note 2: Of Chassidus*) outward.

Most of these activities are part of the program of the young people of the Chabad* association. Moreover, we have just experienced the Hilloula* of my father-in-law, the Rebbe* (note 3: On 10 Shevat*), whose merit will protect us, leader of Israel. Now, he himself gave of his own person for all of this. On this propitious day, increased help is therefore granted and a greater effort is made, in order to know success in accordance with what has just been said. May Hashem* grant that you continue to convey good news of all this to me, in an ever-increasing manner. With my blessing,

ת"ח על מכתבו מז' שבט, מבשר טוב מהתפתחות השיעור בדא"ח אשר בביהכ"נ חב"ד במאה שערים, ובודאי אינו מסתפק בזה שאחרים עוזרים כי אם משתדל גם הוא ככל יכולתו לבסס ולפתח שיעור זה, וכן בכל הפעולות של ענין הפצת המעינות חוצה, והרי רובם ככולם בתכנית צעירי אגו"ח, ובפרט שהרי ז"ע באנו מיום ההילולא של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע נשיא ישראל, אשר מסר נפשו על ענינים האמורים, ויום סגולה האמור, ה"ז הוספה בהסיוע מלמעלה ולתוספת השתדלות והצלחה בהאמור, ויהי רצון שימשיך לבשר טוב בכל הנ"ל ובאופן דמוסיף והולך.
