To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem* and devotes himself to communal needs, Rav Yaakov (note 1: Rav Y. Peles. See, on his subject, Letter no. 6696),

Greetings and blessings,

I have duly received your letters of 15 Adar Rishon*, as well as the preceding one and what was enclosed with it. You ask me if it is justified to change once again the formulation presenting the Yeshivah* (note 2: Founded in Kiryat Gat for Jews from Romania. See, on this subject, Letter no. 6787) as a department of the one in Lod. Now, there are currently dissensions and it therefore seems that it is not justified to modify what has already been accepted and established, so as not to open the way to further changes — this is self-evident. You also wish to specify that the Yeshivah* is under my presidency. It is clear that there is reason to do so only if it depends on the one in Lod or, in general, on the Yeshivah* Tomchei Temimim*, and if it is clear that the expression "under the presidency of" refers to the Yeshivah* of Lod or to the Yeshivah* Tomchei Temimim* (note 3: And therefore only indirectly to this Yeshivah).

Regarding a subsidy, it does not seem possible, for the time being, to commit to a certain amount that would be granted on a permanent basis. This is not the case, however, for one-time aid (note 4: Which can indeed be granted), if you think that this will strengthen the Yeshivah* in its position as a department of the Yeshivah* Tomchei Temimim* of Lod. Perhaps it is also good, for various reasons, that this one-time aid be disbursed in several installments rather than in one.

Due to its content and in accordance with your request, this letter is sent to you by express mail and a copy is made for the Yeshivah* Tomchei Temimim*. No doubt you will all consult on this matter as quickly as possible and you will inform us here of the outcome. Indeed, I am waiting, before giving my response, for the letter from the administration of the Yeshivah*, which is appended to yours. The latter has fully involved itself in all of this, as the letter of protest states. You must therefore do everything possible to strengthen the Yeshivah*, to link it to Lod, and to develop it. I send you my blessing for success in your sacred actions for education based on sacred values, in particular for what has just been discussed, with breadth of spirit, joy, and enthusiasm.

מאשר הנני קבלת מכתביו מט"ו אד"ר והקודמו עם המצורפים אליו.

במה ששואל אם כדאי לשנות עוה"פ מהנוסח שהישיבה מסונפת לישיבת לוד, הנה במצב ההוה שיש הפרעות וכו' לכאורה אין כדאי לשנות ממה שכבר נתקבל ונקבע, בכדי שלא לתת מקום לשנויים אחרים וק"ל.

ובמה שכותב להוסיף שהישיבה היא בנשיאות שלי, מובן שאין לזה מקום אלא אם כן מוזכר שהישיבה היא סניף ישיבת לוד או ישיבת תו"ת וכיו"ב באופן שפירוש התיבות "תחת נשיאות" יתיחס לישיבת לוד או ישיבת תו"ת.

בנוגע לתמיכה, הנה לעת עתה אין נראה מקום להתחייבות להקצבה תמידית, מה שאין כן בנוגע לעזר חד-פעמי, באם לדעתו י;63636#&חתסן זה עמדת הישיבה בתור סניף דישיבת תות"ם דלוד...

בנוגע להקצבה חד פעמית כנ"ל - אולי, נכון ג"כ שתתקבל באיזו פעמים ולא בבת אחת מכמה טעמים.

מפני תוכן האמור, וכבקשתו, נשלח המכתב מהיר והעתקתו לישיבת תו"ת, ובטח יתייעצו כולם יחד בהקדם ויודיעו כאן, כיון שמחכה אני במענה על מכתב הנהלת הישיבה המצורף למכתבו הוא. והרי כיון שנכנסו בעובי הקורה, וכנוסח מכתב המחאה, עליהם לעשות כל האפשרי לביסוס הישיבה והתקשרותה ללוד והתפתחותה.

בברכת הצלחה בפעולותיו בקדש, חינוך על טהרת הקדש ובענין הנ"ל ביחוד מתוך הרחבת הדעת ובשמחה ובטוב לבב.
