I greet you and bless you,

I am responding to your letter, which reached me with delay. In accordance with your request, I am sending you my response by bypassing the queue. You refer to the Yeshivah* Achei Temimim* of your city and to its leadership. I am surprised that you question me and that you are in doubt about what is, in fact, well known.

You know that my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us, when he founded the central Yeshivah* Tomchei Temimim* of Brooklyn, and then, through his emissaries, its branches in provincial cities — which were called Achei Temimim* — established that his emissaries in those cities would direct them, surrounding themselves with leaders and Chassidim* present in that location, all forming, in a manner of speaking, a leadership committee. Every difficulty that could not be resolved on the spot by the emissary and the committee was to be submitted and discussed with the leadership of the central Yeshivah* in Brooklyn. When, there too, a solution was not found, one addressed oneself directly to my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us, who gave his opinion.

All the Yeshivos* Achei Temimim* of the United States have functioned in this manner and have met with success. Of course, no one wishes to modify this organization, especially since it has proven effective. I am convinced that all the leaders of the Yeshivah* Achei Temimim* of your city do indeed set as their objective that which was designated by my father-in-law, the Rebbe — to magnify and adorn the Torah*, by having the proper school and students, based on sacred values. It is certain that they will continue to do so in the future, and the merit of the public will come to their aid, to achieve considerable success, to strengthen and develop this institution. This is, of course, the way one multiplies the blessings of Hashem and the success He grants, in the personal accomplishments of all those who make efforts, who lend their support to this holy school — physically, financially, morally, or by all three means at once. With my blessing to give good tidings of all this, with breadth of spirit, as well as for a kosher and joyous festival of Pesach*,

במענה למכתבו, שנתקבל באיחור זמן, ומתאים לבקשתו נשלח המענה, מבלי לחכות על התור.

בו כותב אודות ישיבת אחי תמימים אשר ב... והנהלתה.

ולפלא השאלה והספק בדבר המפורסם, והוא:

ידוע אשר כשיסד כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע הישיבה המרכזית תומכי תמימים אשר בברוקלין, ולאחרי כן יסד - על ידי שלוחיו - סניפים לה בערי השדה בשם ישיבות אחי תמימים...

קבע גם כן הסדר, אשר - על שלוחיו בערי השדה לנהל הישיבות אחי תמימים במקום התיסדותם, בצירוף עסקנים ואנ"ש אשר במקום, בצורת ועד דירעקטארען וכיו"ב.

והי' בכל דבר הקשה, אשר לא יוכלו להפתר על אתר על ידי השליח והועד, יפנו בזה ויתדברו עם הנהלה המרכזית אשר בישיבה המרכזית אשר בברוקלין.

והי' אם גם זה לא יספיק, יפנו אל כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, והוא יורה חוות דעתו.

ובסדר זה התנהגו כל ישיבות אחי תמימים אשר בארצות הברית וגם הצליחו, ומובן אשר סדר זה, אין ברצונו של מי שהוא לשנותו, ובפרט שהרי ראה הצלחה בפועל בהנהגה האמורה.

וכיון שבטוחני אשר כל עסקני ישיבת אחי תמימים ד... כוונתם למטרה שהציג כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר, והוא להגדיל תורה ולהאדירה על ידי המוסד הק' בחינוך מתאים דתלמידיו על טהרת הקדש, בודאי ינהגו באופן האמור גם מכאן ולהבא, וזכות הרבים מסייעתם בהצלחה מופלגה לביסוס המוסד והתפתחותו.

ובודאי שעי"ז יתוסף גם בברכות השי"ת והצלחתו בעניניהם הפרטים של כל המשתדלים ומסייעים בגופם בממונם ובנשמתם אם בשלשתם גם יחד למוסד ק' זה.
