may Hashem grant you long life,

I bless you and greet you,

I took note, with pleasure, of the report of your annual dinner, which took place on 19 Adar Sheni*. I would like, by means of the present, to express my thanks and my blessing to all the participants, and especially to those who lent their support in organizing this gathering, intended to strengthen Yiddishkeit* in all domains, in particular concerning Jewish women — those who receive the title of "akeres habayis*" ("mainstay of the home"). They are the pillars and leaders of the Jewish home. They bring happiness and joy into it — for themselves, for their husbands, and for their children.

I also wish to hope that this gathering, during which you were able to observe the positive work that has been done, will infuse you with even more energy and strength to continue this sacred mission in an ever broader manner, and thereby receive ever-increasing heavenly blessings. As the festival of Pesach* approaches, there is also a teaching in this, especially for Jewish women, underscoring their great merit and, simultaneously, their immense responsibility, since one must be able to say, as was the case at that time: "It is by the merit of the righteous women that our ancestors were liberated from Mitzrayim*." The same will be true for the end of the current exile, through our righteous Moshiach*, very soon and in our days.

I have also received your contribution for the vocational schools of Kfar Chabad* — two hundred and sixty dollars, of which one hundred came from the Kinsman branch. It is certain that the promise of Hashem will be fulfilled — that the merit of the tzedakah* will enable each of you, with the members of her family, to obtain the satisfaction of all her needs, material and spiritual. I wish you a kosher and joyous festival of Pesach*, and may you extend its joy throughout all the days of the year,

למעות חטים בעד מוסדות חב״ד בארצנו הקדושה תבנה ותכונן במהרה

בימינו על ידי משיח צדקנו.

השם יתברך יעזור שעבודתן תלך ותגדל הן בכמות )הגדלת מספר

החברות( והן באיכות)החזקת והפצת יהדות בתחומים רבים(.

והרי זו אחת מההוראות דפורים שרבותינו ז״ל מספרים לנו,

שמחצית השקל שבנ״י נתנו ביטלו לגמרי את עשרת אלפי ככר הכסף של

המן ,וע״י זה בטלה הגזירה,

שבזמנינו ,מחצית השקל ,הוא ענין הצדקה.
