I greet you and bless you,

I read your letter regarding the summer vacation camp for young women with much satisfaction. To someone like you, it is surely unnecessary to explain how important such an endeavor is. It has already been said many times, on various occasions, that such vacation camps — or, more generally, the vacation period — allow one to influence young men and young women far more than during the school year. For they are not disturbed by secular studies, and they spend the entire day in the vacation camp, without interference from parents, surroundings, or the family atmosphere.

May Hashem grant that you meet with success in this, that the impression of these young women's stay in the vacation camp persist in the weeks and months that follow, in the form of better spiritual health and, of course, physical health as well.

You refer to its name. However, a name has already been publicized. What purpose would changing it serve? The information concerning all of this has surely been communicated to the Yeshivah* Lubavitch and to the other schools in your region. For my part, I will also address the Chassidim* when the occasion arises.

... נהניתי במאד בקראי במכתבו ע"ד המחנה קיץ לבנות ישראל תחיינה, וגודל הענין בודאי לדכוותי' אין צריך ביאור, וכבר נדבר כ"פ בהזדמנויות שונות, אשר רואים במוחש שבמחנות קיץ ובכלל בימי החופש מלימודים, יכולים לפעול על הנערים-ות הרבה יותר מאשר בזמן הלימודים, והרי אז אין הבלבול דלימודי חול, נמצאים כל היום ברשות המחנה, ואין ההורים והסביבה והאוירה בבית מתערבים וכו' ויהי רצון שיצליחו בהאמור, ויהי' רושם שהות הנערות במחנה ניכר בהשבועות והחדשים שלאחרי זה בהטבת בריאותן ברוחניות נוסף על הטבה בגשמיות.

במ"ש אודות השם, הנה כיון שכבר פרסמו שם, מה טעם לשינוי בזה.

בטח פרסמו בישיבת ליובאוויטש ובשאר מוסדות חינוך שבסביבתם ע"ד הנ"ל, וגם מצדי אדבר עם אנ"ש בהזדמנות המתאימה.
