Greetings and blessings,

I reply to your letter, which was not dated. You tell me that a shidduch* has been proposed to you, and it seems, from your words, that you have not yet made a decision one way or the other, even though what you describe as flaws are not so, in my opinion.

Nonetheless, I am surprised that you write: "There will be no problem regarding Shabbos and Kashrus." Is this sufficient for the daughter of a former student of the Yeshivah and for a young man who is himself a student of the Yeshivah?

In fact, this is no doubt only an expression of your pessimism. In my opinion, it would therefore be good to meet once or twice more. Thus you will be able to determine whether you feel attraction toward her or not.

You no doubt have a fixed time to study the teachings of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, in addition to the studies that apply to all in the same manner.

הנני מקוה להשי״ת שבריאותו תשתפר.
מה שכותב שלצערו קשה לו למסור שיעורים בגלל יסורי הבריאות,
הרי זה בדיוק כאילו מישהו הי׳ אומר ,שאיננו יכול לקחת תרופה כי עדייו
איננו בריא .שכן שיעורים בתורתו של כ״ק מו״ח אדמו״ר הכ״מ הם כלי
להמשיך ברכותיו לבריאות הנכונה ולפרנסה .במילא אם מתלוננים על
פרנסה ובריאות ,האמצעי לכך הוא לחזק את השיעורים ,ועי״ז הפרנסה
והבריאות תהיינה כדבעי.
ויהי רצון שיוכל ללמוד ללא הפרעות של בריאות ופרנסה ,וכמרז״ל כל
המקיים את התורה מעוני סופו לקיימה מעושר.
