To the Rabbi, distinguished Chassid*, who fears Hashem,
Rav A. Pariz [1],

Greetings and blessings,

I reply to your letter of 14 Menachem Av.

I wrote the letter of erev Rosh Chodesh Tammuz [2] to underline the merit and the obligation of taking part in the financing of the central administration of Merkaz L'Inyanei Chinuch, of Machneh Israel, and of Kehot Publications, which until now has been the personal role of my father-in-law, the Rebbe. For all that, I in no way set aside the possibility of conducting educational actions or of strengthening Yiddishkeit* in the place where you find yourself.

I am therefore surprised that you wish to cease what you have done until now and to return the funds to the donors. I would therefore ask you not to take an extreme position, but to act methodically, in order to satisfy these two needs at once.

במכתבי מער"ח תמוז כתבתי ע"ד הזכות והחובה להשתתף בהשגת האמצעים למשרדים המרכזיים של המל"ח מחנה וקה"ת שזהו ע"ע עבודתו הפרטית והאישית של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ אבל לא שללתי כלל וכלל את העסק בעניני החנוך וחיזוק היהדות על אתר, ולכן תמה אני על שבדעתו לחדל ממה שעסק עד עתה ולהחזיר הכסף למנדבים וכו' ואבקשו שלא לאחז בקצוות, אלא לעבוד בסדר מסודר באופן הנאות לשתי המטרות גם יחד...
