To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to

communal needs, Rav* Chaim Zusha (note 1: Rav* C. Z. Wilimovski, of Tel Aviv. See, concerning him, letter no. 6444),

I greet you and bless you,

I received your letters of 9 Iyar* and the preceding ones. May Hashem grant, as you yourself write, that the actions carried out for the entire Kfar (note 2: Kfar Chabad*) be fruitful. Thus, each of those who live there will also know success in all that concerns him, for it is there that Hashem has commanded the blessing. Moreover, we are in a year of which it is said that it is "a Shabbos* for Hashem" (note 3: The Shemittah* year). Now, during Shabbos*, one rests from all that constitutes an obstacle, as it is said: "You shall call the Shabbos* a delight." The same must therefore apply throughout this entire year, at the initiative of Hashem.

In conformity with the order adopted by the verses (note 4: See the following letter), the words: "When you arrive... the land shall rest a Shabbos* for Hashem" are stated even before: "For six years you shall plant your field," as explained in particular by the Likkutei Torah*, Parshas* Behar*, in the Chassidic* discourse entitled "It shall rest," the discourses of the Rebbe Maharash* of 5627 (note 5: 1867), and the sequence of Chassidic* discourses of 5666 (note 6: 1906, of the Rebbe Rashab*). These texts establish that the planting of the six years, for each one according to his own situation, strengthens the "Shabbos* of Hashem" and makes it possible to attain the "Shabbos* of Shabbos*." You should consult these texts, which show the elevation that corresponds to all this. With my blessing to give good tidings of it,

מאשר הנני קבלת מכתביו מט' אייר והקודמיו, ויהי רצון שמתאים למכתבו תצליחנה הפעולות בעניני הכפר כולו ובמילא הצלחה בעניניהם הפרטים של [כל] אחד מתושבי הכפר אשר שם צוה ה' את הברכה, ובפרט שנמצאים אנו בשנה שעלי' נאמר שבת היא לה', שכמו שבשבת הרי שביתה היא מכל דברים המבלבלים וכמ"ש וקראת לשבת ענג, ומעין זה ועד"ז הוא במשך כל השנה באתעדל"ע, ובסדר הכתוב, כי תבואו ושבתה הארץ שבת לה' (עוד קודם לשש שנים תזרע שדך וגו') וכמבואר הענינים בלקו"ת פ' בהר ד"ה ושבתה, במאמרי אדמו"ר מוהר"ש בשנת תרכ"ז, ובהמשך רס"ו ועוד, שמשם גם פשוט שפעולות שש שנים תזרע וגו' כאו"א מתאים למעמדו ומצבו מוסיפה עוד בשבת לה' שיבוא לדרגא שבת שבתון יעוין שם העלי' בזה.
