To the Rabbi, distinguished Chassid*, who fears Hashem,

Greetings and blessings,

I reply to your letter of Friday, erev Shabbos Va'eschanan.

I was pleased to learn of the state of health of your wife, which is improving. The prescriptions of the doctors who examined her are surely being respected. She will therefore go on improving and you will announce to me good news concerning her.

I am surprised, on the other hand, that you say nothing of your study of the teachings of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, to which I alluded in my preceding letter. Now, this is precisely the means, for a Chassid, of attaching himself to his master — in this case to my father-in-law.

Chassidus* explains the importance of the limbs of the body, which do not merely receive vitality but, in addition, draw it down. Likewise, one draws down his blessings for the satisfaction of all needs, material and spiritual.

שמחתי להודע מהטבת מצב בריאות זוגתו תי' ובודאי ממלאים אחר ציווי הרופאים מומחים שבקרו אותה ובטח ילך מצבה הלוך וטוב ויודיע בשו"ט בזה.

לפלא שאינו מזכיר מאומה ע"ד הקב"ע שלו בתורת כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ שעוררתיו ע"ז במכתבי הקודם, והרי זהו הכלי שיבור לו החסיד להתקשרות עם רבו, הוא כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ וע"ד המבואר בדא"ח במעלת האברים, שהם לא רק כלים מקבלים כי אם גם כלים ממשיכים, ממשיכים ברכותיו בהמצטרך בגו"ר.
