To the youth of the Chabad* association, Montreal chapter,

to the committee of the Gan Yisrael* summer camp,

may Hashem grant you long life,

I greet you and bless you,

I am responding to your letter from this Thursday, from the Parshah*: "Speak to Aharon*... When you raise the lights...," announcing to me good news — the opening, this week, of the summer camp. May Hashem grant that you know the most considerable success, both materially and spiritually.

Indeed, it is written: "Speak to Aharon*" and every Jew belongs to "a kingdom of priests and a holy nation." It is said: "When you raise the lights" — that is, "the candle of Hashem, which is the soul of man" — "until the flame rises on its own." May all this therefore be fulfilled in each of those who are at the Gan Yisrael* summer camp. Such is, indeed, the mission of all those who work there, of all those who devote themselves to it, to whom Hashem will grant long life. With my blessing of success and to give good tidings,

ומתאים להכתוב דבר אל אהרן (אשר כאו"א מישראל הוא ממלכת כהנים וגוי קדוש) בהעלותך את הנרות - נר ה' נשמת אדם - עד שתהא שלהבת עולה מאלי', הנה יקוים זה בכל אלו הנמצאים במחנה גן ישראל אשר זאת תהי' עבודתם של כל העובדים ומתעסקים, שליט"א.
