I am responding to your letter of 23/7, in which you convey to me the opinion of the doctor concerning your wife, according to which one of the fallopian tubes would be blocked. This specialist has surely explained to you that there are two tubes and, when one is blocked, the other allows passage, so that birth remains possible. Moreover, it is possible to clear a blocked tube without resorting to surgery. It would therefore be good to consult this specialist once more on this matter, so that he prescribe a treatment without an operation. May Hashem grant that he know success in this matter.

Of course, you must add good conduct to your daily life, in accordance with the teaching of our Torah*, Torah* of life. In particular, you will scrupulously and carefully observe the laws and principles of family purity* — niddah*, examination of purity, and immersion in a ritually proper mikveh*. It would be good to have your Tefillin* checked, as well as the mezuzos* of your apartment, to ensure that they are all kosher*, in conformity with the Halachah*. And your wife will maintain the positive custom of virtuous Jewish women, which consists of giving tzedakah* before the lighting of the candles on the eve of Shabbos* and the festivals. במענה למכתבו מיום 32/7, בו כותב אודות חוות דעת הרופא בהנוגע לזוגתו תחי' אשר כאילו אחד הצנור סתום.

ובודאי ביאר להם הרופא מומחה, אשר ישנם שני צנורות ובאם רק אחד סתום, אפשר עבור ולידה ע"י צנור השני, ועוד זאת אשר ישנם אופני טפול לפתוח צנור סתום אפילו בלא נתוח, שלכן כדאי שישאל עוד הפעם דעת רופא מומחה בהאמור (טפול שלא על ידי נתוח) ויהי רצון שיצליח בזה.

ומובן שעליהם להוסיף בהנהגה טובה בחיי היום יומים מתאים להוראת תורתנו תורת חיים ובפרט זהירות ודיוק בעניני חוקי ודיני טהרת המשפחה (נדה, הפסק טהרה, טבילה במקוה כשרה דוקא וכו').

ומהנכון אשר יבדקו את התפילין שלו וכן את המזוזות בדירתם שתהיינה כולן כשרות כדין, וזוגתו תחי' תשמור על מנהגן הטוב של בנות ישראל הכשרות, להפריש לצדקה קודם הדלקת הנרות בכל ערב שבת וערב יום טוב.

וכשיכתוב שמותיהם בלשון הקדש (בצירוף שם האם שלו ושל זוגתו תחי') יזכירום על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע להנ"ל.
