To the attention of Mr. Pinchas Peli,

I greet you and bless you,

I am responding to your letter. You surely know that I do not participate in inquiries conducted by periodicals (note 1: This was presumably the request of the recipient of this letter), but I take this opportunity to tell you of the satisfaction I derived, in its time, from the visit of Rav* Dolgin, of Los Angeles. He was at the Brandeis camp (note 2: Presumably a youth center) and he told me of the positive influence you exercised there, of the way your visit was perceived. I therefore have good hope that you have remained in contact with these people, all the more so since every young person is potentially someone who, in turn, will influence others. It is clear that he will build a Jewish home, so that every current improvement concerning him will be multiplied many times in the future.

An issue of Panim El Panim (note 3: The periodical published by the recipient of this letter) appeared on Friday, the eve of 12 and 13 Tammuz*, the day of the liberation of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, and you surely have knowledge of what took place on those dates. I am therefore surprised to note that nothing was said about this. Indeed, many readers are surely interested in knowing about such events, whose consequences are still perceptible at the present time. Moreover, one can even say that it is still more important to bring them to the attention of those who, for the present, are not interested in them. For you know that a sick person who is unaware of his condition finds himself in a truly terrible situation. With my respects and my blessing to give good tidings,

הנני משתמש בהזדמנות זו להביע סיפוק הרוחני שהי' לי כשבקרני בעתו הרב דולגין שי' מלוס אנג'לס והוא שם במחנה בראנדייס, וסיפר לי על דבר ההשפעה הטובה שהיתה לכ' שם ועד כמה נתרשמו מביקורו. לכן תקותי שכ' עומד בקישור עם המושפעים, ובפרט אשר כל צעיר הוא משפיע בכוח וברי הוא אשר יהי' בונה בית בישראל, ולכן כל הטבה בעניניו כעת נכפלת כמה פעמים ככה בעתיד.

לפלא אשר דוקא בחוברת פא"פ מיום ו' ערב י"ב-י"ג תמוז, ימי הגאולה של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר, אשר פרשת הימים ההם בטח ידועה לכ', נעדר בה זכרון הימים האלה. והרי בטח רבים מהקוראים מעונינים במאורעות כאלו שרישומם ניכר עד היום, ויש מקום לומר ג"כ שאדרבה, אלו אשר לעת עתה עדין אינם מתענינים בענינים כאלו, הרי בשבילם ההודעה עד"ז חשובה יותר, וכידוע המשל מחולה שאינו מכיר בחליו, שמצבו אנוש עי"ז יותר.
