By the grace of Hashem,

To the Rabbi, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem, ...

Greetings and blessings,

I reply to your letter, written at the close of Shabbos 15 Menachem Av. I thank you for the good news you have transmitted to me — that the state of health of the child has improved. You will no doubt announce to me that he is going better and better, until he fully recovers.

He surely sleeps with his head covered, and one speaks to him, in terms he can understand at his age, of our head, my father-in-law, the Rebbe — of the fact that the Tzaddik, freed from this world, is found there even more clearly than during his lifetime, including in the dimension of action; that he grants his blessings to all those who are bound to him, in particular to children, as Chassidus* explains regarding the verse "Israel is a youth, and I love him" [1].

I thank you for having convinced many Jews to read Tehillim 71, that of my father-in-law, the Rebbe [2]. The merit of all depends upon you.

In expectation of the good news you will give me very soon, I conclude by extending my blessing,

בודאי ישן ביארמולקע על ראשו, ומספרים לו, באותיות המתאימות לפי גילו, על דבר נשיאנו כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ וגם על דבר זה שגם עתה הנה צדיקא דאתפטר אשתכח בכלא עלמא - גם בעולם המעשה זה - יתיר מבחיוהי, ומשפיע ברכות לכל המקושרים אליו ובפרט לילדים וילדות וכמבואר בדא"ח בענין כי נער ישראל ואהבהו.

ת"ח על אשר על ידו הנה כמה וכמה מאחב"י כ"י התחילו לומר קאפיטל ע"א של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ, וזכות הרבים תלוי בו.
