To the Rabbi, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem,
Rav B. [1],

Greetings and blessings,

I have received your letters of 10 and 19 Tammuz with what was attached — the letter of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, of 1 Marcheshvan 5699 [2], and the list of Chassidic discourses that are in your possession. I thank you for them.

I am grateful to you for this and ask you to continue, in the future, such mailings. If you possess other letters whose content delivers a teaching, you will kindly send them to us so that we may reproduce them. Thus, the largest number will be able to have them, and the merit of the public depends upon it.

In the list you sent me, I do not have the following Chassidic discourses:

"If you ask what we shall eat" 5658 [3],

"Like the new heavens" Rosh Chodesh Elul 5681 [4],

"Judges and officers" Shoftim 5681,

"For the matter is close to you" Nitzavim 5681,

"A song of ascents, from the depths" Shabbos Teshuvah 5682,

"As the eagle stirs up its nest" Haazinu 5682,

"When they first said" 5684 [5],

"And He said: Go" 5686 [6],

"He did not remember" Vayeishev 5688 [7].

You have no doubt set a time to learn the teachings of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, in addition to your other studies.

In accordance with your wish, I have mentioned your name at the gravesite of my father-in-law, the Rebbe. The Tzaddik bestows his blessings, and the Holy One, blessed be He, fulfills them in full.

You allude to what the previously cited letter says, regarding the different categories of angels — Ofanim and Seraphim — whose spiritual source is the world of Tohu*. You will consult, on this subject, the maamar* entitled "Mi Chamochah," delivered on Acharon Shel Pesach 5688 [8], which is more explicit on this subject.
