To the young man full of eagerness, with

multiple accomplishments, Yitzchak Tzvi (note 1: Rav* Y. Tz. Eisenbach, of Yerushalayim. See, concerning him, letter no. 6547),

I greet you and bless you,

After a long interruption, I have duly received your letter of 7 Elul*, in which you briefly describe your activities of recent weeks. May Hashem grant that in all the domains you describe, there be not only strengthening but also development and expansion, quantitative and qualitative. Of course, all depends on your effort and your eagerness. You know, indeed, the decision of the Heavenly Court according to which, thanks to the self-sacrifice the Alter Rebbe* displayed for Chassidus* (note 2: During his imprisonment in the Czarist prisons, which resulted in the liberation of 19 Kislev*), those who are connected to him and follow his path would prevail in all that concerns the Torah*, the fear of Hashem, and good deeds. Moreover, in Eretz Yisrael*, may it be restored and rebuilt, one can observe the success experienced by the activities of Chabad* in every place where one devotes oneself to them in the appropriate manner — that is, with a spirit of sacrifice, in a pleasant and peaceful manner, but with the appropriate determination. Of course, these words are addressed to all your friends, within the school about which you speak, among all the active people within the schools of the network (note 3: Ohalei Yosef Yitzchak* Lubavitch in the Holy Land) and, more broadly, of the Chabad* institutions. May Hashem grant that following this letter, I soon receive detailed and precise news in all these domains.

Regarding your place of work, no doubt you will all consult together, and it is said that: "salvation comes from many counselors." You tell me that you are going to visit the place of your appointment, which of course is very positive. Indeed, who knows? In accordance with the teachings of our masters, one must act with self-sacrifice, and it is certain that Hashem will grant success, that you will have "a mind and a heart a thousand times more refined." One can deduce from a note of the Tzemach Tzedek* that this is indeed, literally, a thousand times (note 4: Thus, one who devotes himself to others will understand in one hour of Torah* study what would have required a thousand hours for one who does not devote himself to others), as Likkutei Torah* explains on three Parshiyos*. This is also the answer to the remark formulated at the end of your letter, that "you do not have time" (note 5: To devote more time to others). לאחרי הפסק ארוך נתקבל מכתבו מז' אלול, בו כותב ר"פ מפעולותיו במשך שבועות שעברו.

ויהי רצון שבכל הענינים אודותם כותב, יהי' לא רק ביסוס, כי אם גם התפתחות והתרחבות, הן בכמות והן באיכות. ומובן וגם פשוט שהדבר תלוי בהשתדלות והתעסקות בזה, שהרי ידוע פסק דין בית דין של מעלה, אשר בגלל המסירות הנפש הלזו (של רבנו הזקן) על תורת החסידות, פסקו בבי"ד של מעלה, אשר בכל ענין של תורה יראת שמים ומדות טובות, תהי' יד מקושריו והולכי בעקבותיו על העליונה. ובפרט שרואים במוחש באה"ק ת"ו הצלחת מפעלי חב"ד בכל מקום שמתעסקים בהם כדבעי , ז.א. במסירה ונתינה ובדרכי נועם ובדרכי שלום, אף כי בתוקף המתאים. ומובן שהכתוב מופנה לכל חבריו שי' בביה"ס אודותו כותב, בתוככי כללות המתעסקים ומשתדלים בבתי ספר הרשת ומוסדות חב"ד בכלל. ויהי רצון שבהמשך למכתבו זה, תתקבלנה בקרוב ממש ידיעות מפורטות ומשמחות בכל כיוונים האמורים.

בהנוגע למקום עבודתו, בטח יתייעצו ביניהם יחד, וכבר נאמר ותשועה ברוב יועץ.

ומובן שטוב במאד שכותב שנוסע למקום שנתמנה, כי הרי אין אתנו יודע עד מה, וכהוראת כ"ק רבותינו נשיאינו, צריך להתעסק במסירה ונתינה ובודאי שהשי"ת יצליח.

ומובטח רבנו הזקן על הבטחתו, שנעשים מוחו ולבו זכים אלף פעמים ככה, ומובן מהגהות אדמו"ר הצ"צ שהוא אלף פעמים ממש כמבואר בלקו"ת לג' פרשיות, ובזה מענה על סיומו במכתבו שאין לו פנאי וכו'.
