To the great Rav, Chassid* who fears Hashem,
Rav Dovid Moshe [1],

Greetings and blessings,

I have received your two letters, that of Monday Parshas Re'eh and that of the second day of Rosh Chodesh Elul, with what was attached to them. It is regrettable that you continue your action to enter the rabbinical center, and that you allow yourself everything of a nature to bring you closer to it. I would therefore wish, once again, to caution you about this, to the full measure possible. You will surely give good news of the fruit of your intervention in this domain.

Your letter informed me, with pleasure, that your situation is better, within your synagogue [2]. You will no doubt make use of the month of Elul and especially of Tishrei to establish your rabbinate, by giving discourses accordingly.

I thank you for having sent me letters of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, that were in the possession of the Chassid* who fears Hashem, Rav Moshe HaKohen Shayevits. After having duplicated them, we will return the originals to you. I will send you a specific letter of thanks.

I was happy to learn that Mr. Shmuel Katz was at the synagogue. I thank you for collecting funds for Merkaz L'Inyanei Chinuch. We are sending him a receipt and a letter, of which you will find a copy enclosed.

You did well to accept the principle of celebrating the wedding of the son of... There are still a few months before the wedding, and you will therefore find the means to speak to the son, directly or through friends, and to the bride, of the rules of Taharas HaMishpacha*, which has an incidence, material and spiritual, on their lives and on the health of their descendants, until the end of the generations. You will speak to them gently, for the words of the wise are heard in calm.

I await your good news and conclude by wishing you to be inscribed and sealed for a good year, to know success in your sacred mission as Rav and leader of your community, in accordance with the appointment of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, for which you must be a worthy receptacle.

שני מכתביו מא' פ' ראה ומב' דר"ח אלול עם המוסגר בהם נתקבלו, וחבל על אשר ממשיך כל כך בהכניסה למרכז הרבנים ובהכשר הענינים המביאים לזה. ועוה"פ הנני לעוררו להזדרזו בזה כפי האפשר, ובטח יודיע בשורה טובה מפרי השתדלותו בזה.

שמחתי לקרוא במכתבו שהוטב מצבו בביהכנ"ס ובודאי מנצל (ניצט אויס) ימי חודש אלול ובפרט חודש תשרי הבע"ל למטרת החזקת הרעיון שהוא הוא הרב בביהכנ"ס על ידי נאומים המתאימים וכו' וכו'...

ת"ח על טרחתו לשלוח לי מכתבי כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ שהיו אצל הוו"ח אי"א וכו' מו"ה משה הכהן שי' שייעוויץ ואחרי שיעשו העתקות כמובן שיחזירו לו האריגינאלים. ובטח אכתוב לו מכתב תודה מיוחד.

שמחתי להידיעה אשר מר שמואל שי' כץ כבר הי' בביהכנ"ס ות"ח על טרחתו להמציא לנו נדבתו להמל"ח ושולחים לו קבלה על כתבתו ומכתב אשר העתקתו מוסג"פ.

טוב עשה אשר קיבל הצעתו של... לסדר הקידושין אצל בנו ובאשר שישנם עוד איזה חדשים עד החתונה יחפש דרכים איך לדבר - או בעצמו או על ידי מכריו, על לב בנו ועל לב הכלה בענין טהרת המשפחה, אשר זה נוגע להם ולבריאות יוצאי חלציהם עד סוף כל הדורות, הן בגשמיות והן ברוחניות, ובטח יתחיל בנחת ודברי חכמים בנחת נשמעים.

המחכה לבשורות טובות ממנו וחותם בברכת כתיבה וחתימה טובה להצלחה בעבודתו בקדש בתור רב ומנהיג עדתו אשר מינהו לזה כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ, ושיהי' כלי ראוי לזה,
