To the young man, the Chassid*, Rav ...,
Greetings and blessings,
I reply to your letter, in which you inform me that you are today twenty-two years old — for long days and good years.
May you be a worthy and broad receptacle to arouse and receive the blessings, material and spiritual, of my father-in-law, the Rebbe.
You have surely seen, in Hayom Yom, on the date of 11 Nissan, the conduct that is fitting to adopt on the day of one's birthday.
It would be good for you to study, during these twenty-four hours, the Chassidic discourse of 18 Elul 5709 and the sicha* of the same date, found in the Sefer HaSichos.
Wishing you to be inscribed and sealed for a good year,
