By the grace of Hashem,

To the distinguished Chassid*, who fears Hashem, ...,

Greetings and blessings,

I reply to your letter of Friday, the eve of Shabbos Parshas Re'eh. I read with satisfaction that you have set a fixed time to study the revealed part of the Torah and Chassidus*. You will hold firmly to this, for it is in this way that one forges broad receptacles to arouse and receive all positive blessings, material and spiritual.

You write me that your younger brother is currently in the Holy Land. It would be good to suggest to him that he enter into contact with the Chassidim* of Jerusalem and, in terms that will know how to convince him, to show him the great importance, especially in this period of the heels of Moshiach*, of studying Chassidus, which is the tree of life. The Zohar [1] gives the assurance that, in this way, one will leave the exile with kindness and mercy. With the appropriate effort, you will surely be able to obtain this from your brother.

I thank you for having announced to me good news, the fact that my close relative ... has become engaged advantageously, in a good and fruitful moment. May Hashem grant that the wedding take place in its time, that the couple build a Jewish home, based on Torah and Mitzvos*.

In an opportune moment, I will mention your name at the gravesite of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, as you asked of me, that you find a good match. You will surely give me good news in the matter.

במענה על מכתבו מיום ו' ערש"ק פ' ראה, שמחתי לקרוא במכתבו מהקביעת עתים בתורה שיש אצלו הן בנגלה הן בדא"ח ובטח יהי' חזק בזה, כי זהו כלים רחבים להמשכת וקבלת השפעות כל טוב הן בגשמיות והן ברוחניות.

מזכיר הוא במכתבו אשר אחיו הצעיר נמצא עתה באה"ק ת"ו ומהנכון שיציע לו להתקשר שם עם אנ"ש שי' הנמצאים בירושלים ת"ו, ובדברים המתאימים לפי רוחו להסביר לו גודל הנחיצות בפרט בדורות אלו דעקבתא דמשיחא ללמוד תורת הדא"ח שהיא אילנא דחיי, וכהבטחת הזהר, בו יפקון ישראל מגלותא בחסד וברחמים. ובטח בהשתדלות הראוי' יצליח שיתחיל בזה אחיו שי'.

ת"ח על הבשורה אדות ש"ב... שי' שנתקשר בשעה טובה ומוצלחת בשידוך הגון.

ויהי רצון שתהי' החתונה בזמן הראוי ויבנו בית בישראל על יסודי התורה והמצוה.

בעת הכושר אזכירו על ציון כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ כפי בקשתו לשידוך הגון ובטח ישמיע בשורות טובות בזה.
