To the Rabbanim, distinguished Chassidim*, who fear Hashem, the Rav I. N. [1], the Rav P. [2], and the Rav N. [3],

Greetings and blessings,

I have received your letter of 25 Menachem Av, in which you solicit my opinion.

I think that you must organize a Chassidic gathering, all together, one evening of this week or of next week. Beforehand, you will study, separately or together, the teaching of Chassidus* of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, and you will read his Psalm [4].

You will then be able to arrive at a decision concerning the person to whom you allude. My father-in-law, the Rebbe, will cause that decision to be the right one, as in the well-known account of the Tzemach Tzedek and Rav Aharon Belinitser.

Wishing you to be inscribed and sealed for a good year,

הנה לפי דעתי, יתועדו כלם יחד באחד הימים בתוך שבוע זה או שבוע הבא, אחרי שילמדו מקודם - אם כל אחד בפני עצמו, או כלם ביחד - בתורת הדא"ח של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ ואמירת הקאפיטל שלו, ואז יתיעצו יחד בעניני... שי', ובטח כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ יראה שיכוונו להחלטה הנכונה, וכידוע המעשה מאדמו"ר הצמח צדק עם ר' אהרן בעליניצער.
