Igrot Kodesh · Letter 7184 — Faith & Bitachon

After a long interruption, I received your letter of the eve of Rosh Chodesh* Shevat*, in which you do not explain the reason you ceased writing to me and, what is even more painful, the reason you interrupted your participation in the activities being conducted and, in particular, your collaboration with the accomplishments of the Chabad* association and the youth of the Chabad* association. Moreover, it seems that all this was interrupted suddenly, since my first letter explaining all this remained without a substantive response and received only an acknowledgment of receipt.

I do not know whether one can formulate a wish in this matter, but in various domains, our Sages* employ the expression: "a hundred times if necessary." Now, I have not yet reached the ninety-ninth. I therefore reiterate what I was saying. May Hashem grant that at least in the future, a significant change will take place, in an ever-increasing manner. Your letter was written on the eve of Rosh Chodesh* Shevat*. Now, the 10th of this month is the Hilloula* of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, leader of our generation. May Hashem grant that a concrete result follow from this, very soon. With my blessing to give good tidings of all this,

לאחרי הפסק ארוך נתקבל מכתבו מער"ח שבט, וגם בו אינו מבואר סיבת ההפסק בכתיבה. ומה שמצער עוד יותר - ההפסק בפעולות וביחוד בשיתוף הפעולות דאגו"ח וצעירי אגו"ח. ובפרט שכנראה נפסק תומ"י, כיון שמכתבי הראשון במענה על האמור נשאר בלא מענה תוכני, ורק אישור בלבד.

איני יודע אם מקום כאן לבוא באיחולים בענין האמור אבל כיון שנצטוינו ע"י חז"ל בכו"כ מקומות "עד מאה פעמים" ועדיין לא הגעתי גם לצ"ט, הנני כותב עוה"פ - שיהי' רצון שעכ"פ מכאן ולהבא תחול הזזה ממשית ובאופן דהולך ומוסיף.

והרי מכתבו נכתב בער"ח שבט, אשר בעשירי בחדש הוא יום ההילולא של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר נשיא דורנו, יה"ר שיבוא זה בפו"מ ובעגלא דידן.
