You briefly describe to me the activities conducted and the Chassidic* gatherings, among the Chassidim* and of Chabad*. No doubt you will continue all this, as you specify at the conclusion of your letter. May Hashem grant that in this matter, you advance from one stage to the next, until there be fulfilled: "And you shall spread forth..." (note 1: "To the west and to the east, to the north and to the south"). You will give me good tidings thereof and also, of course, of what concerns you personally, the two domains being connected (note 2: Advancement in personal concerns is conditioned by participation in communal activities).
Indeed, we are on the eve of Rosh Chodesh* Adar*. Of the entirety of this month, it is said: "It was transformed into joy and festivity," including in all the unfortunate aspects it contains. And these days, when they are "commemorated," are also "relived," in the proper manner. This is self-evident.

והרי נמצאים אנו בער"ח אדר, אשר על כולו נאמר והחדש אשר נהפך (כל ענינים בלתי רצוים) לשמחה וליום טוב, והרי הימים האלו (כשהם) נזכרים (ה"ה גם) ונעשים וק"ל...
