To the committee of the Chabad* women, in Kfar Chabad*, may Hashem grant you long life,

I bless you and greet you,

I am responding to your letter of 19 Shevat*. In general, the idea of publishing a work about the Chabad* women of the Holy Land is good. Of course, it must be written in the common language, spoken by the majority of the Chabad* women and girls in the Holy Land. Indeed, the objective of this organization is to bring closer the Jewish women and girls from all backgrounds, in an ever-increasing manner. However, it would be judicious to also plan a section in Yiddish* and another in the Arabic spoken by the women and girls of our Sefardic* brethren who came from Morocco. But there is a twofold condition in this. The content of this work must be well thought out and it will in no way be written in haste. Moreover, a collection has already been published here by the Chabad* women and girls, and you surely have it. This will enable you, more easily, to establish a program, even though, obviously, some aspects must be modified relative to what is published here, in accordance with the conditions of the Holy Land.

May Hashem grant you success in this matter, in order to develop the organization of the Chabad* women and girls, in collaboration with the other Chabad* institutions of the Holy Land. You will do so in calm, joy, and enthusiasm. The participation of Jewish women and girls has great value. It is particularly important. This also appears in the days of Purim*, which are approaching, since the miracle occurred through the intermediary of Queen Esther* and Mordechai*, the Jew, as our Sages* relate. במענה למכתבן מי"ט שבט,

בכלל נכונה ההצעה להו"ל חוברת של נשי חב"ד באה"ק ת"ו, ומובן שצריכה להיות באותה השפה המדוברת ע"י רוב נשי ובנות ישראל אשר באה"ק ת"ו, שהרי תכלית ארגון נשי ובנות חב"ד היא לקרב נשי ובנות ישראל מכל החוגים ובאופן דמוסיף והולך.

אלא שכדאי הי' גם כן - מדור בשפה אידית וכן בשפה ערבית זו המדוברת ע"י נשי אחינו ובנות ישראל הספרדיות שעלו ממרוקו וכו'.

אלא שתנאי כפול הוא - שהחומר בשביל החוברת יערך בישוב הדעת ולא בחפזון כלל וכלל, וכיון שכבר הו"ל כאן איזו חוברות, נשי חב"ד דכאן, שבודאי נמצאות אצלן, הרי יוקיל זה עליהן התכנית וההכנה וההוצאה לאור, אף שבודאי ישנם פרטים שצריכים לשנות מהחוברת דכאן מתאים לתנאי אה"ק ת"ו וכו'.

ויהי רצון שחפץ ה' יצליח בידן, להרחיב ארגון נשי ובנות חב"ד, בשתוף פעולה עם שאר מוסדות חב"ד אשר באה"ק ת"ו, ויהי' זה מתוך מנוחה ושמחה וטוב לבב.

וגודל ערך וחשיבות השתתפות נשי ובנות ישראל, הרי מודגש הוא ג"כ בענין דימי הפורים הבע"ל שהי' נס ע"י אסתר המלכה ומרדכי היהודי, וכסיפורי חז"ל בזה.
