To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs, the Rav Moshe (note 1: Rav M. Salomon, of Rechovot),

I greet you and bless you,

I learned with pleasure, from the young men, distinguished Chassidim* who fear Hashem, students of the Yeshivah* Tomchei Temimim* of Lod, that they visited the school you direct on the very day of the Hilloula* of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us (note 2: The 10th of Shevat*). You gave them a warm welcome and you commented, before your students and those who receive your influence, on the content of this day, connected to the one whose Hilloula* we celebrated (note 3: See also the following letter). Furthermore, I received the request for blessing that you signed. At a propitious moment, it will be read near the holy resting place of the one whose Hilloula* we celebrated.

May Hashem grant that for many more years, you use the qualities that Divine Providence has granted you in order to strengthen Judaism and to disseminate it in every place where your influence is exercised and, above all, among your students, among those who receive your influence. You will do so with Chassidic* vitality and enthusiasm, in a manner suited to the comprehension of the students, to their age, to their perception of Chassidus*, its customs and practices. In general, our Sages* say: "Nothing withstands the will." How much more so when the merit of the public intervenes — that of your students and those who receive your influence. In our era, such is the need of the moment, infusing ardor into all that concerns a Jewish man or woman — enthusiasm, true good, and light. With my blessing for great success in all this and for giving good tidings thereof,

שלום וברכה!

נעם לי להודע מהאברכים הוו"ח אי"א נו"נ תלמידי ישיבת תומכי תמימים דלוד אשר בקרו בבית הספר שבהנהלת כ' ביום ההילולא של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, וקבלתו את פניהם בסבר פנים יפות ואודות דיבוריו עם תלמידיו ומושפעיו בתוכן יום זה דבעל ההילולא.

כן נתקבל הפ"נ אשר גם כ' בא על החתום, ובעת רצון יקרא על הציון הק' של בעל ההילולא.

ויהי רצון אשר רבות בשנים ינצל כ' את הכשרונות בהם חונן מההשגחה העליונה להחזקת היהדות והפצתה בכל מקום שידו מגעת, ולכל לראש בתלמידיו ומושפעיו, ויהי' זה מתוך חיות והתלהבות חסידותיות, ובאופן המתאים לפי הבנת התלמידים וגילם להבנת עניני תורת החסידות הדרכותי' והנהגותי'.

ואם בכלל אמרו רז"ל אין לך דבר העומד בפני הרצון, עאכו"כ כשזכות הרבים, התלמידים ומושפעיו, מסייעתו. והרי לימוד תורת החסידות בתקופתנו זו ביחוד הכרח השעה היא, וענין המוסיף חיות בכל עניני איש ואשה הישראלים, חיות, טוב אמיתי ואור.

בברכת הצלחה בכל האמור ולבשורות טובות בזה.
