To the Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs, the Rav Yehoshua (note 1: Rav Y. Albaum. See, regarding him, letter no. 6041),

I greet you and bless you,

I am responding to your letter in which you announce your move to a new house. May Hashem grant that in changing location, you also change your Mazal*, for good and for blessing, materially and spiritually. With my blessing,

You ask me about the Haggadah* of Pesach*, second edition published by Kehot* (note 2: Of which the Rebbe is the author), according to which the three Matzos* (note 3: On the Seder* plate) correspond to the vessels (note 4: See, on this subject, letter no. 3559), and the six items (note 5: The two bitter herbs, the Charoses*, the bone, the egg, and the Karpas*) to the lights. One can understand this in light of what is stated in various texts: the Attributes of the emotions and that of celestial Sovereignty are themselves comparable to lights and vessels. In the latter, one distinguishes three aspects — the depth, the middle part, and the superficial dimension.
