To the Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and assumes a sacred mission, the Rav Saadya (note 1: Rav S. Liberov, of Sefrou, Morocco. See, regarding him, letter no. 5870),

I greet you and bless you,

I duly received your letter of 8 Adar* and may Hashem grant that you give me good tidings of your communal accomplishments as well as of what concerns you personally, these two dimensions being connected.

Moreover, we are in Adar*, a month of success for the children of Israel and for what they accomplish, in a visible and tangible good. And, indeed, the quality of Purim* relative to Chanukah* is known, as the Turei Zahav* explain on the Shulchan Aruch*, Orach Chaim*, chapter 670, paragraph 3, and the introduction of the Shaarei Orah* (note 2: Of the Mitteler Rebbe*). All this will therefore be revealed here below, morally and physically. With my blessing for a joyous Purim* and for giving good tidings of your sacred mission, within Ohalei Yosef Yitzchak* (note 3: The network of Lubavitch* schools in Morocco),

ובפרט אשר נמצאים אנו בחדש אדר, חדש ההצלחה לבני ישראל ועניניהם בטוב הנראה והנגלה, וכידוע המעלה דפורים לגבי חנוכה, (ראה ט"ז לשו"ע או"ח סי' עת"ר סק"ג, הקדמה לשערי אורה) הרי גם בהנ"ל יהי' עד למטה מעשרה טפחים, מנפש ועד בשר.
